Digitizing and bringing data-driven insights to the contracting process, by our estimates, is a $60+ billion market. By streamlining contract workflows, from creation and approvals to compliance and insights, Ironclad is freeing GCs and in-house legal teams to become the strategic advisors they’re meant to be for their organizations.
That mission is resonating.
Ironclad has just announced a 300% increase in revenue and a 2.5x growth in its customer roster, year over year. Facilitating that momentum in human terms is a belief in people and an emphasis on company culture and diversity, which you’ll read about below.
Employee growth and diversity
During the past 12 months, we’ve watched our employee base expand 150%. This includes key senior management hires with Salesforce, Adobe and Facebook pedigrees. We also launched a Diversity and Inclusion initiative in our hiring outreach.
The latter effort is being acknowledged—Ironclad just landed on CloserIQ’s list of 10 San Francisco Companies with the Best D&I Programs—and helping us attract world-class talent.
“Our biggest asset is our people, and we make extraordinary efforts to identify top talent from any background,” says Ironclad CEO Jason Boehmig. “Diversity is just one important aspect of that hiring priority.”
With transparency in mind, we’re also proud to spotlight the following talent metrics, based on an internal survey of our Ironclad workforce:
- 41% female
- 75% of Executive Team from a minority group
- 15% parents
“We have teammates from Yale Law School working side by side with people that never graduated from college,” says Boehmig. “I’m a firm believer that the more inclusive we are as a company the better we can represent our customers and serve their interests, which is always our north star.”
Customer impact and enterprise growth
Among the new names recently joining the Ironclad customer roster are Fitbit, Nextdoor, and Procore.
“Ironclad has expedited contract processing at Procore and helped us ensure compliance in contracting and procurement,” says Logan Maley, Associate General Counsel of Procore, a provider of construction software. “Everyone in the company is on Ironclad, so we’re able to verify that we’re always using the most up-to-date version of a contract template.”
Part of Ironclad’s growth over the past year includes a 328% increase from the enterprise segment, where the challenge and cost of manually handling contracts is especially severe.
“I’ve seen first hand how painful contracting can be, especially with enterprise customers,” says Wyeth Goodenough, recently hired as Ironclad's Chief Customer Officer. He was most recently VP Strategic Technology Partnerships at Salesforce.

Our new peeps' take on Ironclad's promise and culture
“What sets Ironclad apart is the speed at which customers can deploy our software and deliver business value,” adds Goodenough. “From software startups, to major league sports teams to global cosmetics companies, Ironclad is helping legal teams turn their contracting process into a competitive advantage.”
“Contracts are the backbone of the modern economy, but they can be a significant drain on any company’s legal resources,” adds Joyce Solano, recently hired as Ironclad's CMO after holding executive marketing positions at Adobe and Leanplum, a mobile engagement platform. “Ironclad aims to rescue the legal profession from the chains of admin work by making it easy to create, review and track contracts.”
And what attracted her professionally to Ironclad? “I was won over by the team,” she says. “Wow, what a bench! Jason and [co-founder] Cai [GoGwilt]’s passion for company culture and their investments into the quality of the product is best-in-class.”
“Legal teams that rely on manual contracting processes aren’t just inefficient, they have minimal visibility into business and legal risk,” says Kat Orekhova, recently hired as Ironclad's Product Management Lead. “Uniquely built for legal, the Ironclad platform enables General Counsels and their legal teams to digitize and bring data-driven insights to the contracting process.”
Before joining Ironclad, Orekhova built and led product management teams at Facebook, where she absorbed valuable lessons about culture and its upkeep.
“People join a company for a variety of reasons, but they stay for the culture,” she says. “At Facebook, we didn’t simply hire for traits like empathetic, humble, and eager to grow, we cultivated and reinforced them. I’m glad to see that same approach endorsed at Ironclad.”
