On June 6th, leaders in legal from tech companies gathered at an autobody garage turned pop-up dining space in SoMa.
Once guests crossed the threshold from the gritty San Francisco alley, they were greeted with a plush industrial interior: velvet couches and communal tables adorned with tropical monstera leaves and peonies arranged in mercury glass centerpieces.
Guests mingled over coconut mai tais and mango slushees
The menu was beautifully executed by Francis Ang of Pinoy Heritage and Feastly. He trained under Gary Danko himself and was named to Food and Wine magazine’s “People’s Best Pastry Chef” for the West Coast.
Shrimp ceviche and adobo braised king trumpet mushroom tarts were passed while guests sipped on coconut creme mai tais and mango slushees. The meal progressed with two tasty salads followed by a deconstructed beef kaldereta (beef stew braised in red wine) and charred salmon sinigang (a tamarind soup base).
Beyond the amazing food, what truly powered this wonderful evening was the people. Ironclad is on a mission to build a community to empower legal professionals— lawyers, legal operations professionals, paralegals — to form real connections with each other.
Some people met for the first time, while others reconnected with former colleagues or even law school classmates. We are thrilled to help bring everyone together and can’t wait for our next event
