Ironclad’s ties to New York City run deep. New York was the first city outside of San Francisco where we hosted our community dinners and rooftop law events. On top of that, Joyce Solano and Cai GoGwilt, our CMO and CTO, are New York natives, and Jason Boehmig, our CEO, worked in Manhattan for several years in finance.
We think New York, like San Francisco, brings an exciting combination of forward-thinking legal teams, industry leaders, and exciting business challenges. New York is particularly interesting because it’s an international finance, media, and retail hub where fast-growing companies (think direct-to-consumer brands and financial tech firms) and Fortune 500 companies are racing to digitize and transform the way their industries operate.
That’s why we’re delighted to announce the opening of a new office in New York’s Soho to better serve our customers in New York and on the East Coast.
Our mission to the Big Apple
A recent Harvard Business Review study found that 81% of in-house legal teams expect their team responsibilities to increase in coming years. We imagine that figure is even higher in a metropolis like New York, where business and contracting challenges are constantly evolving. That increase in responsibility means tools like Ironclad will become even more mission-critical than they are today, and it’s a big reason why we’re investing our resources in the city now.
Our Soho office will allow us to better serve existing partners and customers like Away and Namely. Just as importantly, it will pave the way for strategic partnerships with in-house legal teams that need to automate and streamline contracts in order to keep pace with their businesses.
They say there’s nothing you can’t do in New York—we’re out to prove it.
